Today’s modern sex toys are expensive and some of them contain complicated solid state circuitry boards and computer chips. In order to get the most of them and extend their life you should know how to clean and care for them.
First, never dunk your vibrator in water to clean it, especially one with a plug in cord (cause ouch). If you do happen to soak your vibrator, open it up, take out the batteries and blow dry the interior until completely dry. Wipe off the batteries thoroughly. For an extra measure of confidence that the vibrator won’t face any long term damage, leave the vibrator opened up with the batteries out over night. To properly clean your vibrator, use a professional sex toy cleaner, or use rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth. Make sure you get all the crevices and ridges. Another method would be to use soapy water but we prefer the toy cleaner or alcohol method for the piece of mind of killing any bacteria that might want to live on something that we are going to use so intimately.
Always make sure that the toy is dry before putting away; again using the microfiber cloths works well here. Bacteria has a hard time living on a clean and dry surface. For harnesses made from leather, we recommend a mild soap and water cleaning followed by some leather conditioner. This will extend the life of your expensive leather harness and keep it from cracking.
